A week in Prague

As I begin to think I have had enough of this rain, wind and cold in Brisbane, I remember how cold it was in Prague this year. I then realise that this is not the usual Brisbane spring weather and it will pass - it could be worse!...well that's what I am telling myself anyway!

Thought I would share a few pics of, Prague (Czech Republic) an amazing city. These first few images are in the centre of the city in a market place and the stallholders had just set up their stalls. I think it was about -10 degrees Celsius.

A giant frying pan for giant pancakes!

A huge musk rat at the old Terezin Concentration Camp.

One of the many delicacies in Prague is Roasted Pork Knee. It was on the menu at the majority of restaurants we ate at.

Window Shopping

Good name for a shop!

I wish I had taken a photograph of the Babushka Doll stores. These stores only sold Babushka Dolls and they were stacked from the floor to the ceiling. All sizes, all shapes and all designs. An amazing sight to see!

Oh I would love to see Prague - it's on my 'bucket list'!!! My daughter went on her OE and loved it - I wish we could go together...
These are stunning photos Pam.
I've been in Europe in winter and remember that cold although I've had -5 in Paris and the coutryside and the cold came thru to my bones!!!
It's still worth it tho!!!

Wow what terrific photos. I lived in Prague for a few months when I was 21, in an apartment close to the Charles Bridge. Great selection of images. Sonia

I have always wanted to see Prague. It looks so pretty. There is a babushka shop in Melbourne's Royal Arcade. I think they are cute. I guess we should stop whinging about the rain... ;-)

Your photos of Prague are making my feet itchy for travel. The lingerie shop has an inspired name, definitely!

I have heard Prague is very beautiful. Your pictures really give us a lovely glimpse. I think the difference with European winters is that people dress for the cold- so it's not as cold as I sometimes find a Perth winter. Or maybe I am just odd like that lol.
