Looking around the house and noticing all the simple things in life! Making me feel so lucky and not so sad, as my first beautiful child young man leaves the nest today.

Oooh - I can't imagine! Hoping he enjoys his new adventures and stays safe. I'm dreading that day for me, but hoping mine spreads his wings and takes in all the world has to offer. A day for relections indeed Pam. Keep the kettle on the boil Carmel x
Leaving the nest.... ahhh...those are some of what I call those 'bitter-sweet' moments. As much as you joy in the changes, you feel the twinges of pain too that things will never quite be the same again.
Oh dear Pam I remember that day vividly, like you I was very melancholy. But be assured they do come back for such reasons as our fridge is always chock full of food, we've got Sky TV, mums good at mending and ironing and Dad can held with mechanical things!!! But it is the start of another stage in your life for which often we are unprepared, even though we always knew that day would eventually come. You've been a successful parent who has produced an independent young man - well done! Take care Shane x
I like the boomerang bit! All three of my children have left home to study in Melbourne! thats a very long distance from home in Sri Lanka but they always come back!
Hi Pam, aww bless you i have to say that im not looking forward to that day, but it has to be looked on with beauty and magic the beauty is that you send him off with full love in his heart and the magic is that he will now go and spread that and continue with the magic and grow as a person and i love the song rubber ball he come bouncing back for more.hugs today. Don't be sad Pam, my sisters boys have all but left home too now and she is having the time of her life! ;-)
I feel for you Pam, but dont forget you'll always be his Mum. It makes it even more special when you do catch up for quality time.
