Time for a Giveaway!

This Giveaway is now closed. Thank you

It's time for a giveaway! I have nearly posted 100 posts and now have over 100 followers since I began blogging in May. It is really exciting to feel that there are other bloggers in Aus and all over the world who look at my photos and read my words. Mmmmm it's just lovely and thank you to all of you!

I have teamed up with fellow blogger, the awesome Katherine from theoldboathouse to offer this giveaway. We both have a love of vintage and as Katherine states 'anything old and interesting!' Check out her blog and drool over the amazing vintage items she sells..... Okay, I admit that I have bought the odd item from her!
This giveaway is just a bit of fun and if you are a follower or become a follower here, we would love you to share your imagination and your creativity on how you incorporate vintage items into your daily life. It could be a cup, a tablecloth or anything at all, no matter how big or how small. Just leave a comment on this post and let us know what it is and why you love it, and your in!

We have had fun putting together these items for this giveaway:
Two of my handmade soaps in a vintage embroidered drawstring bag made by me, a gorgeous Sitmar Lifesaving ring, a square rosey tablecloth and two cute doileys.

We really look forward to reading your fabulous comments by 5pm Tuesday 23rd November. Both of us will be judging your comments and choosing the winner. The winner will be announced on Thursday 25th November. Will post anywhere...and most of all have fun leaving these comments!

Great giveaway. I like using vintage suitcases (thanks Katherine!) for storing out of season clothing in my room, gives a bit of character, but very practical. My kids also have a suitcase for toys storage & become houses, boats wherever their imagination takes them. :)

Gorgeous giveaway.
I use a 1950's square print tablecloth on my coffee table outside. I love to sit out there and drink tea from my vintage teacups. So fun!

Hi Pam, first of all congrats to you also on your 100 followers. It is a bit exciting! I personally love a bit of vintage in my home. I believe every room needs a little something whether it be a piece of furniture or just an accessory which has some sort of story behind it. It just makes it all that bit more special. ;-)

Hi Pam:
Wow! 100 posts is quite a milestone. Congrats. I have many things that my parents left me when they passed away. My most cherished is a carved top drop leaf table of my Dads. It is gorgeous and I display it proudly in my hallway.

What a fun idea! I would love to join in if I may?

I use vintage suitcases for storing things too and I am storing my holiday cards, wrap and ribbons in one. I have also got lots of lovely old plates on my wall and use old linens when having tea parties. I have even bought a lovely old glass jar from the lovely Katherine and now store cotton tips and wipes in it in my bathroom!

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Well our whole house is a testament to vintage. And we eat off these cool not quite round, not quite circle Johnson Bros dinner plates, which I love. They're called Golden cloud. Great giveaway girls. You make a formidable team!!

Hello, I'm not really a vintage collector, do love looking at it at all your beautiful blogs but at home I on't really have vintage items. So will have to skip this lovely give-away :)
Or wait I do have something. But I don't know the English word for it. My mom gave it to me last summer. It's to put your pan on to protect the table :) And it's really beautiful.

I love anything vintage ..I always use my china, linens etc because I think beautiful things should be used everyday not just for special occasions..xx

Thanks for the giveaway. Yep I agree you make a great team. Plenty of vintage around here I am proud to say. My favourite things are pillowcases I have made out of vintage souvenior teatowels. They wash well and look great. A crocheted edge adds a bit of vintage 'bling'....

Pam,
I'm a bit sad, to be honest. I live in some kinda crazy Scandophile existence that really only makes sense to me ... so I incorporate Scandinavian vintage into my life. Mostly, it's in the form of ceramics, and I imagine I'm living in Norway or Sweden when I dish up the mashed potatoes or the tomato sauce in some old Royal Copenhagen ... when really I'm just livin' in Brisneyland. I know ... I'm shaking my head too.

Sweet collection for a give away.

Life can be hectic at times but for right now I am celebrating the best by catpuring a photo of the sky doing something magical or wonderful and posting to a challenge site every week. Helps to keep one's focus upwards and onwards cause you never know what is ahead.

(laughing quietly to myself)
I am surrounded by vintage, in fact it has taken over the house - I have too much! But I have it in my blood, maybe even my bones! - and if it wasn't for the fact that I need reliable and stable income to pay the mortage and raise two beautiful boys it would be my all time occupation. There it is, it's my passion but unfortunately a part-time, fit it into the spare moments passion.

And I am very grateful that I can share this passion through blogging!

Count me in Pam! Very exciting...I have many vintage items, my favorite at the moment is my white fine linen cushion on my new linen chair - I love to sit and read and know this is a vintage item and handmade (so the ladies told me in the op shop).

WOW Pam - 100 posts - that deserves congratulations and celebration!
I had no idea you were so prolific – well done!!!
And such delicious items in your shared giveaway with Katherine.
I especially love the vintage tablecloth and doilies - my hearts skipping little beats as I write this!!
I collect and love old embroidered bed/table linen, which we use daily.

I’m forever haunting the op shops, looking for the tattered, stained, old unwanted pieces that have been discarded.
The embroidery parts of these ‘little darlings’ then become stars again as I incorporate them in the fabric cards and books I make.
In this way they have a new life and become 'treasures' that are loved and appreciated for their beauty once again!

Here’s to your next 100 posts!!!

ps As my husband's a keen yachtie he would appreciate the Sitmar ring!

Congratulations on 100+ followers and nearing 100 posts.
My all time favourite vintage thing is my sweet mothers dinnerset that she bought when she first started working. My mum passed away nearly 17 years ago and every day as I have my cuppa in her cups and eat from her plates it brings sweet memories of her to me.

I cherish old embroidery and have some tablecloths which I picked up once when I was in Finland - really pretty embroidered stuff. How someone could discard them I dont know. My luck to find them though.

I am now hoping to pass them on to my daughters!

Happy 100th blog post. I recently rediscovered some fine bone china tea-cups I inherited from my Nana. There is nothing nicer than sipping tea from them ... my kids think they are special too.

What do you think the vintage of the future will be ?

My Mother in law thought it very strange years ago when I prefered victorian kitchen items "wouldn't you prefer a new one dear" I think I have always been a bit of a second hand rose I do draw the line at underwear though :)
