Our Tree

Our Christmas tree is up! It's a tree we bought from Freedom a few years ago and we love it. It has it's own built in lights at the end of the branches and it is all white, it's bendable and doesn't take up much storage space The beauty of this tree for me is that it does not take up our entire floorspace either and I can change the colours of the decorations at minimal expense. Some of my decorations are from the Uk (still with their price stickers on from Snape Maltings!) I also to use crystals from vintage chandeliers for a bit of bling.

We donated our huge green fake cypress tree to the  Leukaemia Foundation for their front foyer in one of their Brisbane Villages I set up and was managing at the time. I see it every year, decorated and in pride of place in the front reception area. A good feeling to know that it is being used for the festive season for patients and their families who are going through very traumatic changes in their lives.

Notice the colour combo AGAIN, red , white and aqua? Love it!

Hi Pam,

Love the tree. It must be so easy to get out and put away. Funny how you think of these things as you get older and the work attached to a big tree isn't quite the fun it once was.

I think it's great that your old tree has a new home where it can be appreciated by so many.

Love the aqua baubles!

It looks fabulous and you are right, it would be nice and cheap to re-do you colour theme. I always wonder how people with big trees justify doing that :)
How nice that you see your old tree each year and know that it brings so many people joy.

what a very generous spirit to donate your tree. The leukaemia foundation is one I support and it was lovely to read this. You know I'm definitely seeing the advantage of a minimalist tree, and it's appealing! Yours looks great. Sonia x

Your tree looks fabulous!! How cute that it has it's own lights. Magical! I'm also adoring your colour combo. The turquoise/aqua really makes it and lovely textures of your decorations. Aren't Christmas trees hard to photograph though?! That's really lovely about you donating your tree and then seeing it. That's what it's all about isn't it. The giving and the joy. Pruxxx
