I Often Wonder...

When I am feeling restless and thinking I want to pack my bags and just escape to see more of the world, I often flick back in  my photos and wonder....

...what this little corner maison in the French Countryside would look like in the spring and the summer months. To me it looks so cute and romantic. I can just imagine the leafy green vines adorned with flowers or fruit, the hanging baskets jam-packed full of geraniums and the window boxes a riot of colour.

When we were walking past an elderly lady popped her head out of the french doors and smiled, then quickly scurried indoors. Just lovely.

....I wonder who created this piece of backyard UK family life...

...I also have wondered how this outdoor setting is supposed to be used...we saw a few of these designs in the West Country in the UK and ever since then I have always wondered . If any of my lovely UK readers can enlighten I me, please do.

Being a total romantic and the biggest dreamer ever, I am then brought back down to earth when the old bank balance says 'not just now'...know that feeling?

I miss travelling a lot, and dream of a trip OS again soon. It's a good saving motivator, which isn't that easy not having a paid job!
The french cottage is a beautiful, beautiful shot... baguette, cheese, some wine and a picnic in the french countryside would be nice no? :)

Oh yes. The house looks so typically "English." And the little vignette out in the grass is truly enchanting.

Hi Pam,

Thanks for posting those photos. I especially love the french house, it would get me wondering too.
Hubby and I plan to travel next year to France and Italy and then I might have some time on my own in the U.K. as he will have work committments. I am really looking forward to ambling at an unhurried place, walking here, wandering there.
Travel photos are wonderful remembering great times past and possibly new ones in the future.
Have a wonderful day,
Anne xx

They're beautiful photos, Pam.

Sometimes you need to look at gorgeous images like those just to take you 'away' for a bit ... love that French house.

We always promise the children we'll take them to Europe ... one day.

The French house, so recognisable!!
Love your post. And yes travelling shows us things that are unusual and that makes us so much richer don't you think?
Have a great day
