A day at Mt Tamborine

A beautiful sunny day today.
Met up with two very sweet blogging buddies at Mount Tamborine and here is part of our adventure.
My partners in crime for the day were Linda from  Lilly Cottage from Tiffany from Mrs Tiff Living Creatively.

For overseas readers, Mt Tamborine is part of the Gold Coast Hinterland which is a series of hills and plateaus positioned directly west of Surefers Paradise.

The first port of call was to the Craft Extravaganza in support of the Local Fire Brigade and other charities. This is a very special handcraft fair as you have to be invited to sell here!
Linda is such an amazing craftsperson that I am not at all surprised she had a stall as this fair.

Lots of stunning bags and pillows, bunting and birds.

I loved this fabric box so much I had to buy it along with the dotty and cherry bunting.

Next stop was Nardoo, the Lavender shop.
Well more than just a shop.
More like two huge barns full of
Lavender products and an eclectic range of collectables and garden bits and pieces.

Lavender sweets looked so tempting - well we just had to try them didn't we?
Australian made with Lavender Essential Oil on the list of ingredients.
Yum!

After scouring a local vintage shop we were a bit peckish and stopped in at The Kitchen Table in Main Street, North Tamborine for our lunch.
A grove of Olive trees lined the path outside the Deli/Cafe.

French Inspired decor - greys and whites.

The open sandwich I ordered was just delicious.

All in all a beautiful sunny day spent with blogging friends who are passionate about handmade and vintage and .... good food of course!

Linda's lovely husband drove us here and there and was happy to wait and browse with us.
Such a gentleman, a true gem!
Thanks Tim!

Looks like a perfect day and like MMMC I have an urge to visit Mt Tamborine now too. This blogging is better than a travel brochure.
Sounds like you had a great day with good friends and that type of pottering about is the best kind of R&R. Plus a third R for retail therapy.

It looks like a wonderful day. I remember viiting Mt Tamborine when I was a youngster. I have no memories other than the name. Maybe I can get back there one day?
Oh, and how nice to be able to meet up with bloggy friends. x
