An Old Fashioned Flower.

This is one of my spring favourites. A small tree filled with clusters of tiny white flowers. I remember my Grandmother used to have a tree in her front garden like this. So old fashioned, I love it. The pure white contrasts so brightly against the green foliage.

I would love to know what it is called. I thought it was the snowball plant, but I am not sure. Hoping my bloggy friends will know the name of this gorgeous plant.

Here it is again with my most favourite rose. So fragrant and delicate it almost looks crinkley.

The tag has dropped of this rose. So, please don't ask me what it is called.
In fact, I will own up to the mere fact that all of the tags on my roses have fallen off.

This one a stunner though, highly fragrant and can produce a huge flower

Happy Monday. Happy Spring!

Beautiful flowers, my husband is sitting next to me, I asked what he may think the flowers are, he said could be a form of blossom. Happy Monday to you too. Mimi xx

Oh Pam...I LOVE that flower, my Grandmother had them too and I think we might have even had some when we were children...either we did or it was one the neighbour had that we used to pick and put into little bunches and try to sell right outside the front of her house..not very clever I suppose but it was fun! The bees like that plant too don't they?
Love the roses and the 'snowball' flowere together...just stunning and girly!
Happy Monday,

What gorgeous little puff balls. It reminds me of Hawthorn which down here is dark pink and maybe a bit smaller? Hard to compare the size though but it does come into flower very soon. Gorgeous!

I'm sorry I can't help you, I don't know the name of the beautiful white flowers but I absolutely loooove them. Old-fashioned? They are beautiful I think! As is the rose, with or without tag ;-)
Bye,
Have a great week,
Marian

Oh I love it too. Snowball trees look ugly the whole time except for when they flower. My mum used to have one and I always wished she'd pull it out until it flowered and then it was so pretty.

Hi Pam, my goodness, what beautiful pictures! The white flowers are so exquisite. We have a flowering tree that grows everywhere here in Georgia called a Crepe Myrtle. They come in various shades of pink, lavender, raspberry red and white. The flowers are similar, but a little more tissue paper-like. I hope someone can tell you the name. Have a lovely evening! Delisa :)

Pam, it IS a May bush (spirea) called so because it flowers in Europe in May (crataegus species). I have two bushes in flower at the moment and also we have a native May bush (smaller)which has pink flowers. My Nanna had one in her garden which I loved as a child.I love your crinkley rose.

Hi Pam, I know a climber that looks like this one that is called Banksia
Rose. I love the yellow shaded one and they do flower in Summer with long flowered branches.
They look very Asian looking.
