I don't know what I am going to do with these gorgeous cross-stitches that I found at the markets this morning. I always end up buying these precious handmade lovelies when I see them. They get me every time! Ready to be framed or incorporated into original handmade items.
For the time being, I will just add them to my collection....... which is definitely growing!
A huge Italian brass frame with a romantic courting couple on silk fabric.
Well...alright...there was two actually...
More hand-worked stitching.
Fossicking for treasures at the local markets on a Sunday morning is something I love to do.
Bringing home loads of the sweetest cherry tomatoes and the best fruit loaf ever, all I need is a coffee and the sad Sunday paper and my work is done.
A day for relaxing ahead, as my weekends are very precious these days.
(Letting you know that I have extended my giveaway for another week, so if you haven't entered - just do it! Drawing the winners Monday PM AEST 12th September)

I don't understand how someone who has done all that work can bear to part with it. Lucky for you though!

I always think how sad it is that someone spends hours to make these beautiful handcrafted items and they've been cast aside...good job there are folk like us who rescue them! I'm head over heels in love with the 'cats' - it's so unusual, gorgeous :o)
What awesome finds! I wish I had a good market nearby! X
Great finds Pam, gotta love the Sunday markets. Sandy x

Fingers crossed, what treasures these are works of art to me...I always wonder who the woman or man was behind such intricate work lots of love for sure!
What fab finds! Lots of florally goodness :)
Great handiwork finds. I have a whole stash of doileys that my mother did as a young woman. She said most were done when she had to watch the cattle feeding along the roadside, can't imagine it.
Great finds. Needlework is such a labour of love. They are very special. Love the frames too.
