I have a small collection of vintage honey pots that I wanted to share with you. The blue vintage one is a new addition from my local market this morning.
I also bought some pure local beeswax. I have been wanting to make a solid hand cream with it for a long time now, but it is really hard to find.
Looks almost good enough to eat though!
After searching for recipes and a lot of experimentation, they look like these. I haven't quite perfected them yet but they smell divine and work a treat already.
Melted beeswax and blended with extra virgin olive oil and scented with 100% natural lavender oil...mmmmm!
Relatively easy to make and so natural and moisturising. This shape fits easily into the palm of my hand and feels lovely and smooth.
Should I go on?

The band discs look very interesting. Do they melt in the hand to be more liquid, or are they quite soft?

I have an affinity for bees and all they represent. Your honey pots have given me goose bumps.
I use beeswax in my encaustic paintings and the aroma stays with the painting - it is an expensive medium but so worth it.

That hand softner sounds and looks fab. I've been cleaning down this morning and my poor hands could certainly do with a treatment or two!

LOVE IT! and yes, it does look good enough to eat! I had bought a sweet little handpump bottle of raspberry honey for Hubby last Christmas. After we opened our presents he anxiously put a big SQUIRT in his oatmeal and it FOAMED UP...we both put our glasses on and discovered it was HANDSOAP(hahaha).I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your collection of honeypots, they ALWAYS follow me home(I can NEVER RESIST THEM).
