Quick Bedroom Makeover in Progress...

Trying to re-decorate this huge downstairs bedroom for Ms 18 in two days on a  very strict  budget. This is the room Mr 21 moved out of last week. Furniture placement is more or less a standard given in this room as there are two sliding doors, a door to the bathroom, a door with access to the garage and a door to the front entry.

Some walls are textured cement, some are plaster board and some have a sheeting attached to look like VJ's. Bit of a hotch potch really but as we don't want to spend too much the paint alone should bring it all together. All walls are in excellent condition so we don't feel too bad leaving them as they are. At least this is a lovely and light room with heaps of garden views.

The first comment Ms 18 made when she knew she was moving downstairs was 'you just have to paint it white Mum'...music to my ears... as we could now remove any traces of any horrid warm peachy tones! (She is helping with the painting by the way).

At least in decorator terms she is a black and white with accents of red type young woman!

Will keep you updated!

Good luck Pam! At least you have a helper in the painting. White is always great on the walls, in my opinion. :)

Exciting! She sounds like a sensible, helpful young lady.

I used to love changing rooms when I was young ... Can't wait to see the finished product ... I suspect it'll be something marvellous!

Ooh you're so lucky Pam, having your darling daughter home and decorating together too - Bliss I call it!!!
Whatever you do it will be gorgeous with your creative eye and those lovely fabrics and retro pieces you collect.

I love decorating with my son. It's so great to get them involved in the whole process. And to learn skills like painting. I love her colours. Looking forward to seeing the finished result:)
