Inspire Me Vintage Yellow!

This vintage chair  was a fabulous find from the local thrift store on the weekend. The back panel is on a swivel and tilts back, - does anyone know anything about this style? I don't think I have seen one of these before.  It has obviously been recovered by a previous owner and pretty neatly too.

At present it is in a corner of our bedroom and it looks quite  good  except for the washed out autumn tones. The cushion adds a pop of brighter colour....so.....I am kinda it liking it and I really  wanted a vintage chair for the bedroom. Our bedroom is fairly neutral so it is blending in .......but.....I know it won't stay like it is forever.

I am thinking of painting it white and recovering it in a floral of course. What do you think?

Your new chair has beautiful lines Pam and looks lovely in the corner of your room. I'm sure if you decide to paint and recover it, the result will be beautiful.

I do love that pop of colour from the yellow roses on that cushion! I can definitely see it painted white - but I'm a sucker for white furniture :)

Yes, it would look lovely recovered and I agree with the above comment, endless possibilities, but I love what you are thinking of doing. Just choose a fabric you absolutely love, and can see yourself loving for a long time to come.

Your chair is so beautiful. Lucky you you found it! Curious to see how you will recover it. Although I believe it's really nice like it is now a days as well. Maybe I would paint it white but keep the fabric?

Good shopping Pam. I'm not a really fan of dark furniture, but looking at the style of this chair I do kind of think dark is right. Just lovely.

Beautiful styling Pam and your new chair has a lovely worn vintage feel and goes so nicely with all your things. Adore the blue and white plate!

It's a bit of a quandary Pam for me to decide. I like as is, yet can definitely see some potential with a makeover. It's lovely as-is though, and definitely love your yellow cushion. Great photos & that chair was an excellent find!
