A Peek Into Our Lounge

There is a lot of my heart in our lounge room.
I thought I would show you some of it today.
The coffee table was one of the pieces of furniture given to be my parents years ago, before they left Australia.
It is a gorgeous rimu table, but in order to blend in with other pieces, some or all of it had to be white.
I am loving white and timber combination right now.
I have made all the cushion covers which I have recently posted about.
Working with vintage fabrics and florals is a challenging exercise to combine them all without looking too busy.
I think it works and I love it.
What do you think?

Wow, what a gorgeous room! I could sit in that lounge area all day. The sofas look so comfy, the cushions are so pretty and, well, that wing back chair has my name on it! Put on the kettle please dear Pam...I'm coming over!

Best wishes and happy week,
Natasha.

Hey Pam, looking good! The room looks smaller in a good way, sort of cosier the way you have placed the couches. It is such a large room with so many things to think about like the windows and staircase and I think you have nailed it now. Where's my invite to come and lounge and drink tea ha? xx Katherine

What a beautiful room. So much lovely light coming through those Plantation shutters. Your use of the floral fabrics is stunning. The way you have combined all those patterns together looks gorgeous. It's a beautiful feminine room:)

Very pretty room!! I love all the pops of colors in your pillows. I am wondering if that is the quilt you just completed on the sofa? It is beautiful! I would love to relax in your lounge with you!

Thanks for the peek, Pam! I've wondering about other people's lounge areas lately, because mine is lacking something and I can't quite put my finger on what it is...yours looks so cosy and relaxed, without that "forced" look.

Your lounge room is just gorgeous in every respect, Pam.

I do like the Liberty-bits quilt on the couch, and the whole room looks like it gets some great light.

I've always had a 'thing' for shutters ... so sophisticated.

Is it possible for a real-life lounge room to look so immaculate? I'll come back here for 'tidying' inspiration. Beautiful.
